Painted by celebrated Pichwai artist Sushil Soni, this Pichwai depicts a beautifully decorated Lord Krishna, surrounded by Kamadhenus (miraculous cow of plenty).
Pichwai painting, emerging in Nathdwara, Rajasthan around 500 years back, serves as the scenic setting behind the Krishna idol within the sanctum of the Pushtimarg temples. Stemming from Sanskrit, 'pich' (back) and 'wai' (hanging), the term Pichwai refers to these vibrant painted wall hangings. They vividly portray narratives from Krishna's life and are full of spiritual metophors.
